The birthday girl with a present that came in the mail from cousins Megan, Katie, and Laura -- a purse with a cell phone, lipstick, debit card, mirror, wallet, and keys. Thanks girls!
We had Brooke's first birthday celebration the evening of her birthday. A few of our good friends (Adam's co-workers from the bank) came over to help celebrate. Tammy made this mini size cake that was just perfect for Brooke -- so cute!
All clean and ready to dig in to that cake!

Her first taste -- she stuck one finger in the frosting and licked it, realized she liked it, then tried to shove it in.
Then she dug right in!
Cutest mess you've ever seen! At least the frosting was light pink (unlike the bright orange and black that was on Brody's first cake).
Cleaned up and opening presents -- she loves this little glow worm and she was dancing to the music it plays.
Playing with the ribbon is sometimes as much fun as the presents -- thanks for the phone, Amy!
It was such a fun first birthday party! And we get to do it all over again tomorrow with Adam's family. My family -- you can just pretend you're here -- miss you guys! Happy birthday, Brooke!

Happy birthday Brooke. Looks like a successful party. She actually ATE the cake AND she got some great presents. I forgot how close in age Colton and Brooke were. What a big girl!
