She is such a smiley, happy girl. Unfortunately she's not usually so happy in the middle of the night. She used to be a good sleeper, but lately she's up a lot at night crying. Last night was actually a better night than normal and it went like this: she nursed and went to sleep at 7:20pm (her normal bedtime), she slept until 10:30 when she started crying just as I was dozing off to sleep, I burped her and she went back to sleep until 3:30am! That's the amazing part - that she slept from a little after 10:30 pm to 3:30 am! At 3:30 I nursed her then she went back to sleep, woke up at 4:40, 5:45, and 7:45.
I think her problem is stomach pain for some reason. I've been trying sleep training, but it's so hard for me to just let her cry, espeically because it usually seems like she's having stomach pain (she usually needs to burp). Usually when I decide that I'm going to let her cry it out she cries for an hour without stopping so I end up picking her up and getting her back to sleep. A few nights ago I finally turned off the baby monitor in my room at 11pm because she wouldn't stop crying and I couldn't get her to stay asleep. So I fell asleep and woke up at 12:15 and turned the monitor back on and she was still crying! I couldn't believe it and I felt terrible.
Needless to say I could use any advice anyone can give me. I'll try almost anything. Sleep training went much better with Brody, so I'm not sure what to do with this cute little girl that I love so very much but I don't want to hear from 10 times a night.....
But seriously I really do love her like crazy. She's so delightful during the day. When she wakes up for the final time in the morning (usually around 6:30) I just hear her in the monitor jabbering and cooing. She started baby talking all the time and buzzing her lips and sticking out her tounge. I'm trying to get a video of her to post but she gets a little confused when she sees a camera and she stops doing whatever she was doing. We'll have to catch her when she doesn't know it. Happy 5 months, Brooke!

Shes's so cute! I hope I get to meet her in person sometime soon.
I don't have any advice when it comes to sleep training. The little boy I nanny for is 13 months and he just started sleeping in his crib by himself. His parents co-slept with him at night and I would hold him or stand by his crib until he fell asleep (even if it took 45 mins) for his naps everyday. He's definitely been spoiled. I've learned not to give in so much to my own kids because it is so nice that he falls asleep by himself in his crib now.
Good luck!
