Going along with the other post about "owies" Brody got another pretty major one. This one happened during sacrament meeting at church yesterday. We were sitting towards the back in metal chairs, and he was just walking along, tripped and fell and hit his eye right on the chair. I didn't know what happened at first, and Adam rushed him out real quick. But when they came back in I saw that he had busted his eye. I couldn't believe it. We found a bandaid, but he ripped it right off.

Now his eye lid is kind of purple and red and swollen. It doesn't seem to be bothering him, so that's good. He has his 18 month check-up at the doctor tomorrow, so we'll see what he says about it.

Many of you may think I'm crazy for starting to potty train Brody at 18 months, but I'm tired of buying diapers and changing diapers, so I thought I'd give it a try. I bought a potty ring (called "Cushie Tushie") and the first time I put Brody on it he went pee. It was so cute and funny because he was watching to see what was happening and got this very excited and proud look on his face. So I started taking him to use the potty every couple of hours, when he wakes up in the morning, and at night before bed or bath. He's gone every time I've put him on there. And he claps for himself, and then I give him a little treat (usually 4 chocolate chips). I still put diapers on him, and I'm planning to take it very slowly, but we're moving in the right direction.

Brody and I were wearing matching clothes (by accident) when we went to Adam's parent's last night, so I thought we should take a picture. You can't even see my kakhis, but I thought it was still a sweet picture.

I love that Brody's treat is four chocolate chips, it's so funny to me for some reason. I would have LOVED that as a kid! I would love it now! I think I should get four choc. chips every time I go!
